Rain Barrel

I accidentally deleted my blog about rain barrels yesterday. We had serious drought last year. From just from one small rain barrel on one side of the house we captured enough rain to water our plants. This year we will be adding another larger barrel and perhaps a tap.

Yesterday I mixed surplus rain water in my clay buckets. I have no doubt that with filtering rain water would be drinkable and possibly safer than what is coming out of the tap these days. In a peak oil crisis situation where electricity will possibly be non existent, people will need to use devises such as rain barrels to survive.
