Green ware

Here are 4 bowls I threw on a wheel a couple weeks ago. They are not bisque fired yet. When they are at this stage they are called green ware. It takes several days for them to dry out enough to put them into the kiln for a bisque fire. In a Peak Oil crisis electric kilns will not work. I can imagine that the kilns that are electric will have to be dissassembled and possibly be put underground and another fuel source used to build up the heat and contain it long enough for bisque.
