RIP Speedy Gonzales

I had to kill one of God's creatures today.  I had to do it in a way that would not hurt Syd.  There were holes in my roof, and after 5 years of telling my landlady about it...the roof caved in, and nature came in.

Syd knew this rat was in the house.  So we set traps, and the landlord put a new roof on the house.  Hopefully, there are not any more of this rats relatives hanging out.  The size of the holes in my ceiling could let much larger varmits in.  I was asked to leave when this was all going on, but Syd and I want to stay and this was not our fault.

We have a new roof, but lots of repercussions of the delay, and me being blamed.  I have to pay rent tomorrow, because I don't want to move.  Please pray us as we persevere.  This rat evaded two kinds of traps for over a week....until today.  I named him Speedy Gonzalez because he got the bait, but evaded the trap.  Let us hope I am as lucky.  More lucky as Speedy.  It is a treacherous world.
