Love Ornaments

Today I finished stamping the old spoon project.  They are tumbling and polishing as I write this.  It is so nice to work in the spirit of love...as the psychopaths that are running our country into the next hate war.  If the weather is nice tomorrow I can solder a bail on the back, polish and finish them.  I need fresh air in my studio in order to solder. 

Not My Vision

Last Saturday I attended the 2015 VSA Exhibition and my painting Old School didn't even place.  I was hopeful, and it will take awhile to get over the observations I made that day.  When I grow up...I am going to be an art judge NOT!  This morning, in spite of the useless feeling I have about the direction that art is taking, I will make art.  Sometimes I wonder if greed motivates every aspect of life?  Instead of asking ourselves how we can make something better, we misinterpret that to mean cheaper.  We have cheapened almost everything on this planet in the name of profit margins.  The art world is such a market place.  And now that art money is now going toward the non profit organizations, I shudder to try to visualize the quality of art that will be the result of that.

I call upon the GODDESS through Ruth.  If I practice till the ends of time, it won't be as powerful as this version.  Give me strength to continue singing this song.

Next Saturday

I hope to see some of you next Saturday at Westerville Community Center 350 N. Cleveland Ave Westerville OH 43082.  My painting Old School will be in the Exhibition along with 74 other pieces of art.  I will try to make it by 11:00 am so I can visit with friends and see the other art for this years tour.  The Awards Ceremony is at noon.  Please come if you can and vote for the peoples choice award.
