New Artifacts

 Off to the laundromat!  Here are two new potential artifacts I created from Ohio Hopewell and Adena artifacts.  My idea was that folks visiting a museum where the hand and Hopewell symbol are, might like these new versions.  To quote my friend Louise in Maine...."something still remains".

Out And About

It has been well over a month since I ventured to do laundry, as I had to purchase truck tags this month.  I have run out of options for clothing for the next week.  I remind myself that driving is a privilege and so monetary sacrifices have to be made to sustain the privilege.  It has not been my intention to stay in Newark, so I have not looked into buying a washer until now.  Perhaps with winter looming before us, I should consider buying a used one, or at least trying to find a lay a way plan.  Jeff's Laundromat is the closest place to do my laundry.  I find, that I have no other business on that end of town.  Clean laundry is a luxury for me this month, and it may very well be the case for September as well.  My birthday is a sad occasion because of the financial burden my truck tags cause me annually.  How ironic that my 16th birthday was the occasion for obtaining my drivers license and like many associated with freedom.  The ability to legally drive though is just the beginning of a financial reality that is and has been just within reach.  No more, no less.

Morning At Jeffs

Thanks to a goodhearted mail carrier, I got unstuck this morning and was able to do a months worth of laundry.  This afternoon, I am working on my upcoming grant proposal, and if there is any energy left, go to the grocery store.  Some days I don't get to work on my art:(  I love to have clean clothes though.  The good thing about doing laundry at a laundromat is that no matter how much laundry you have, it all gets done in an hour!

I Didn't Make It To Jeff's

I didn't make the landromat on New Years Day as planned, so I may go on the 3rd instead.  It sure will be nice to have clean clothes and clean sheets.  I don't like it when I don't meet my deadlines.  It seems like it is happening more and more often.  I need a day to load the truck with the laundry, and another day to do the laundry...and I am guessing a third day to unload all the laundry.  One thing for sure though, there is plenty to do in the next few days.  Stay tuned, I hope to show you the latest chapter in my house of flying daggers:)

Starting Out The New Year Clean

The library will be closed on the 1st of course, so I am pre-posting this blog on New Years Eve.  It is likely that you can find me at Jeff's Laundromat if it is open today.  I want clean clothes going into 2014.  Happy New Year dear readership.  Plan the plans, not the results...my advise in terms of any new year resolutions:)
