Last weekend workmen dug a ditch from my studio area to the lower flower bed and laid a new pipe for drainage. This involved two days work. The very next day it poured down rain. Imagine my surprise when I went to the basement and discovered water! My gutters have all been cleaned out and water is flowing freely into my rain barrels. But it is a puzzle as to why there is still so much water coming in under the door. I am hoping to dry out the basement today before the next storm comes through...due tonight!
