The history of the common broom is fascinating. I have a broom that I have had since the early 1980's that I am trying to retire. The problem is, I am looking to replace my broom that was made in America, with a broom that is made in America. Such a common item that we now import is hard to find unless it is in an antique shop. As oil prices peak I am guessing that brooms will be once again made in America or become scarce. I am in the market for a new broom. Please let me know loyal readership if you have a broom sighting!

I have your AMERICAN-MADE broom! I promise I'll get it to you soon. I have a gift certificate for a Columbus restaurant; it's burning a hole in my pocket!
No Way!
